Franklin Lamberth, Sanitation Driver 2, San Diego City Environmental Services Department. Franklin has been working for the City for over thirteen years. “I like my job. I enjoy the contact with the public—making and building relationships with the people we serve. People are mostly kind and happy to see us.” But Franklin is worried about his future now that Mayor Sanders is under funding the pension reserve and threatening to privatize essential city services.  “We work hard every day to provide a quality service for the people of San Diego. The Mayor‘s constant threats to outsource our jobs makes many of us worry we don‘t have a future. We also have had our pay reduced and I will have to work until I am 73 just to receive 90% of my pension.”
